We are delighted to report that Ecosse have won and subsequently completed the contract to upgrade the aged and deteriorated polymeric surfacing at the indoor RUBB hall complex. The final specification for the new surface was Type 4 polymeric in blue with appropriate line markings for 5-a-side football, tennis, badminton, netball and futsal. The perimeter fencing and netting was also upgraded along with appropriate base works to prepare the concrete ready for the new polymeric. The end result looks outstanding and offers a unique multi-sport, indoor area for the wider community of Bathgate and beyond.
Proving that we will go wherever the work takes us, Ecosse were asked to upgrade a private residential tennis court on the beautiful island of Barbados. The ‘ballcourt’ style fence system comprised of recessed football goals and basketball board/hoops, with 1.2m high sides and 3m high goal ends in powder coated steel construction. Members of Inverness T&SC demonstrated their immense kindness and pride for their club earlier this year in funding nearly three quarters of the capital cost for the refurbishment of their three outdoor synthetic courts. The project involved removing the existing synthetic turf carpet and porous concrete slabs which had expanded and moved over the time. The foundation of entire court area was built back up with additional MOT type 1 stone, new perimeter kerbs, two layers of porous macadam and finally the new artificial turf carpet, which was TigerTurf ‘Advantage PRO’ in standard green. Associated fencing and floodlighting works were also included as part of the overall project. All works were carried out by Ecosse Sports own in house and fully trained operatives.

The old MUGA – a polymeric surface which was badly in need of refurbishment has been rapidly upgraded by Ecosse Sports. The existing polymeric was repaired and made porous which allowed it to be used as an ideal shock pad for the new sand filled carpet. Tiger turf ‘MP24’ was installed over the polymeric surface. The project was completed within a very quick turnaround to accommodate school use before the start of the new term. The school and community use this sports surface extensively as there are few such facilities in the area and therefore will benefit greatly with the newly refurbished facility.
George Watson’s independent school in Edinburgh has a proud history of sporting excellence. We were obviously delighted when Ecosse Sports were chosen to refurbish their full size hockey pitch in summer 2013, with TigerTurf ‘Evo PRO’ being installed along with a new 15mm insitu shockpad. Ecosse/Replay (Scotland) has a long history working with Strathallan School in Perthshire, one of Scotland’s top independent and boarding schools. During a memorable summer which saw near daily sunshine and Andy Murray winning at Wimbledon, we were delighted when the school asked us to refurbish their 5200m2 porous macadam area, incorporating seven tennis and two netball courts. The existing macadam area was cleaned and moss/weed treated prior to a court binder/acrylic spray coating being applied in two tone colours along with new play lines for both tennis and netball. Included also in the project was the installation of heavy duty, socketed netball posts to tournament standard. Overall, it was great project to work on which brought the area back to the high standard that the school sets of all its sporting facilities.
George Heriot’s School established in 1628 and a prestigious academic institution in Edinburgh decided in summer 2013 to refurbish an old sand filled artificial pitch at their Golden Acre playing fields in Edinburgh. We were delighted to be awarded the contract to refurbish the pitch, which involved installing the new shock pad and TigerTurf ‘Evo PRO’ carpet as well as upgraded the fencing to the pitch. The project was delivered on time, to budget and now provides the school with a high performance hockey facility for the future.
